Oblivion INI Tweaker allows for the quick tweaking of Oblivion's INI, such tweaks generally help in the performance or visual quality of Oblivion. The Tweaker relies on ini lists created by Oblivion gamers to utilize it's full tweaking ability (see below).
Oblivion obtains a lot of its graphical and performance settings from a file called 'Oblivion.ini'. While anyone can easily open the file with a text editor and begin to experiment with settings, this application provides an easy to use interface for known tweaks. Tweaks can easily be enabled or disabled via the checkbox interface.
The tweaker was developed with customizability in mind. The idea was to extend the lifetime of the program by allowing the users to add their own tweaks rather than restricting any changes to those with access to the source code and a compiler. It achieves this goal by loading all tweaks from a settings.ini file located in the root directory of the application folder. By modification of this file, users can implement their own tweaks and share it with others.
Due to the way the tweaker was coded, there is technically nothing to prevent the tweaker being used for any other application that makes use of a .ini file - this strength allows for extreme reusability and customisation.
The application is on hold for the time being. Should development be recontinued, it would begin with a full recode from the ground up, under a different name and would aim at officially supporting much more than just Oblivion.
